The district has still not received all the results of the asbestos testing that was completed for the Academy.
The Academy building will remain closed until the district receives all the test results.
As a result, the Academy building will remain closed on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
All high school programs for the Academy will be held in various instructional areas at Mifflin County High School on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
All Mifflin County School District and Juniata County School District Academy students will be at Mifflin County High School on Thursday, September 5, 2024, for instruction.

This morning at the Academy, a full range of asbestos testing samples were collected and sent to a lab in New Jersey for testing. We were notified this afternoon that the test results will not be made available until no later than Wednesday afternoon. The Academy building will remain closed on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. All high school programs for the Academy will be held in various instructional areas at Mifflin County High School on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. All Mifflin County School District and Juniata County School District Academy students will be at Mifflin County High School on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, for instruction. Good evening! We want to remind everyone that there will be no school on Friday, August 30th and Monday, September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day. It's a well-deserved break for all of our hardworking students, teachers, and staff. We will resume our regular school schedule on Tuesday, September 3rd.

The Juniata County School District will be the tax collector for Susquehanna Township. Payments can be mailed to:

Good afternoon, JCSD families! Busing assignments have been mailed! If your child is assigned to van transportation, you will receive a phone call during the week leading up to the first day of school; this will include your pick up and/or drop off time, as well as your van number. Please note that any changes to your child's busing information should be requested by August 14th, 2024 @ 8 am, in order to be in place for the first day of school.
