Bus 3 is running late this morning, November 1, due to mechanical issues. Another bus is on its way.
JCSD Families: Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 10 from 2:00-4:30pm & 5:00-8:00pm. Information is available on your child's school website. If you have questions please reach out to your child's school office. Schools will be closed on November 11, 2022.
Bus 15 will be late this evening, October 25, 2022.
This week begins national school bus safety week. Our transportation department will be collaborating with State Police to help strengthen relationships within the Juniata County School District sending zones. Your child may tell you that they saw someone on one of the vehicles, or someone following behind a vehicle. This is in an effort to promote safety and awareness within our surroundings. Thank you for your time and attention to keeping our kids safe!

There is a non-school vehicle accident on PA 35 in Richfield. School vehicles may be late getting to their stops, as all traffic is being detoured around the accident. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Juniata County Families: The message sent at 2am was pre-written to be released at 2pm. I apologize for the clerical error and the frustration this error caused to our families. Additionally, if you would like to be removed from the call system, please email jcsd@jcsdk12.org.
Attention Juniata County School District Parents: In an effort to communicate with parents of absent students and minimize errors, the school district will begin to utilize an automated call system to inform parents on days that their child was marked absent. If you ever feel that there is an error, please call your child’s school office. Also, please remember parents have 3 days to turn in an excuse and may feel free to email any excuse to the attendance secretary at their home school. Thank you.
Bus 24 is running behind schedule this morning, August 30, 2022.
There will be a training exercise at JES this morning. You may see emergency personnel and vehicles at or around the school, including in adjoining streets. There is not an emergency. This is only a drill. Thank you.
Reminder to all parents: The free lunch program for all students has expired. Please go to www.schoolcafe.com and fill out the application for free/reduced lunch/breakfast. Please do this as soon as you can so this is in place for the start of the school year. Also, since your student has not purchased meals in a while, please check your account balances. Bus 42 is running behind schedule. There was a bus fire. No injuries. Spare bus en route. No estimate on delay on delay at thus time.
Bus 15 will be approximately 10-15 minutes behind schedule on Thursday morning, May 26, 2022, due to road work.
All school vehicles at the East end of the county (EJHS and EJES) will be delayed getting home due to a road closure. Please be patient and thanks for your cooperation.
