FEBRUARY BOARD MEETING POSTPONED: The Thursday, February 18, 2021 meeting of the Juniata County School District Board of Directors is being rescheduled for Tuesday, February 23, 2021, due to forecasted weather conditions. The meeting will take place at the district’s administration office at 146 Weatherby Way, Mifflintown.
Bus 36 is running 7-10 minutes behind schedule due to a fallen tree.
Bus 25 is running approximately 25 minutes behind schedule on February 16, 2021.
JCSD will operate on a 3 hour delay Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Due to the uncertainty of the weather patterns and the below freezing temperatures expected for today, JCSD will move to remote instruction to ensure the safety of all students and staff for Monday, February 15, 2021.
Juniata County School District will be operating on a 3 hour delay on Thursday, February 11, 2021 and please remember there is no school on Friday.
Please be advised that Bus route 33 is running approximately 15 minutes behind schedule for the afternoon run on 2/9/21. Another bus is en route to complete the route.
Several school vehicles are running behind schedule. If your school vehicle has not picked up your child, you are advised to log in and work remotely.

Parents of HRE and JCVA students who are signed up to receive meals are able to pick up meals tomorrow, Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 2:15 to 2:45 at the respective schools. If you are in need of meals and are HRE or JCVA students, email Chris Ammon at cammon@jcsdk12.org. Meals for students onsite will come home with students tomorrow.

Due to the snowstorm, JCSD will be utilizing remote learning on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. All buildings will be closed.

East Juniata Elementary AND East Juniata High School Families ONLY: It is with great disappointment that due to the count of 4 COVID positive staff and student cases at both East Juniata Elementary and East Juniata High School, we must close the buildings beginning Monday, February 1 through Wednesday, February 3, 2021. All students at EJES and EJHS will be remote. The buildings will be closed until February 4, 2021. There will be no extracurricular activities. During this closure the building will be cleaned according to CDC and DOH guidelines.
Tuscarora Junior High Families: TJHS will reopen on Monday, February 1, 2021 with the 4-1 plan. We look forward to having everyone back in the building.
