The home rowdy crowd showing their support

On January 10th, 2026, the Juniata boys and girls basketball teams played their rivals, East Juniata, at home. That night was also a Pink Out game fundraiser dedicated to help a local family financially. There were raffle baskets, a concession stand, and two half-court shot games, all aimed directly towards raising money for said family.

The night started off at 5pm with Juniata Girls Varsity against the EJ Girls Varsity. Coached by Hannah Geedey, the Juniata girls took the lead early and finished the first half with 21 points to EJ’s 10 points. With our home team maintaining a steady lead, the Juniata girls finished the game with a 47-26 difference. Leading the scoring was Lindsea Gibson with 14 points, and Maura Campagna with 9 points. All Varsity players contributed points-wise. There was no JV game.

The Juniata Boys Varsity team took the court next against the EJ Boys team. Coached by Al Ream and Erich Graybill, our home team took a 6-point lead in the first quarter. The half finished with a score of 33 points (Juniata) to 22 points (East Juniata). Following the first half, the Juniata boys lengthened their lead and finished the game with a winning score of 66-43. The leading scorers were Jasper Shepps with 22 points and Brian Kuhn with 18 points. Congratulations to both Juniata basketball teams on their shut-out night against their local rivals; and thank you to all fans who came and helped raise $2,720 for this family to be able to split with the Pink Connection.
