Juniata County School District Summer Hours

7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

The Juniata County School District Board of Directors will hold hearings on the proposed closing of elementary schools on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the administrative office at 146 Weatherby Way, Mifflintown, at which time the public will be given the opportunity to comment.  The hearing to close Fayette Elementary School will commence at 6:00 p.m., to be followed by hearings for the following schools, in order as listed: Lack-Tuscarora Elementary School, Thompsontown-Delaware Elementary School and Tuscarora Valley Elementary School.

PER CAPITA TAX NOTICES

Notice is hereby given that persons eighteen (18) years of age or over who become residents or inhabitants of this school district and persons attaining the age of eighteen (18) years while a resident or inhabitant of this school district are required by law within twelve (12) months thereafter to notify the Juniata County School District Business Manager, 146 Weatherby Way, Mifflintown, PA (telephone 717-436-2111), of their having become residents or inhabitants or their attainment of age. This notice is given in connection with the per capita tax levied by Juniata County School District, and any person failing to comply with the requirements of this notice will be liable, in addition to the tax, for a penalty equal to the tax.
