Preliminary Budget Notice and Special Meeting Notice and Per Capita Tax Notice and Occupation Tax Notice

NOTICE is given that the Proposed Preliminary Budget for the General Fund of the Juniata County School District for the 2020- 2021 fiscal year is available for public inspection at the school district offices, 146 Weatherby Way Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, and will be presented for adoption as a Preliminary Budget Proposal at a school board meeting to be held in the board room of the district office, 146 Weatherby Way Mifflintown, Pennsylvania at 7 p.m. on January 29, 2020 The Preliminary Budget Proposal may be amended before adoption. This will be a special meeting held for consideration of the Preliminary Budget Proposal and any other business raised at the meeting.

NOTICE is also hereby given that persons eighteen (18) years of age or over who become residents or inhabitants of this school district and persons attaining the age of eighteen (18) years while a resident or inhabitant of this school district are required by law within twelve (12) months thereafter to notify Rich Meily, School District Business Manager, Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, telephone 717-436-2111, of their having become residents or inhabitants or their attainment of age. This notice is given in connection with the per capita tax and occupation tax levied by the Juniata County School District, and any person failing to comply with the requirements of this notice will be liable, in addition to the tax, for a penalty equal to the tax.     ALL new student registrations can be completed at our District Office located at 146 Weatherby Way, Mifflintown, PA 17059 with Mrs. Polly Digon. 

     

SCHOOL MEAL INFORMATION

The Grace Period ended on 10/07/19 for carry over status from 2018-2019 school year.  If you did not do a new application, you need to do one online at www.schoolcafe.com immediately.

ATHLETIC EVENT NOTIFICATIONS

To help improve information sharing about game changes, we are informing parents/players/fans of our Big Teams websites and the feature to sign up for alerts.
    1. Go to either www.ejhstigers.com OR www.jhsindians.com
    2. In the upper right hand corner click REGISTER
    3. Once you register an account your fan dashboard will come up. Click on MY FAVORITES/ALERTS
    4. Add a SCHOOL  (Search for East Juniata or Juniata or both!)
    5. Then add the TEAM or TEAMS you would like to get notifications about.
    6. Next, click ALERTS and choose SCHEDULE CHANGES for each sport you would like to get notifications about. (We do not use this system to report scores.)
    7. Finally, click ALERT SETTINGS. Enter your email or cell phone number. You will get a confirmation alert.

As soon as an event is postponed or cancelled, you will receive a notification. This is for games only, not practices. Changes in practice should come from coaches.
