As we continue to offer educational programming virtually, we have tried to minimize possible problems but some are sure to come up. With this in mind, we have put together several documents to help you navigate these issues to the best of your ability and provide guidance should the problem require intervention from our IT staff. Attached to this email are six documents covering an assortment of questions. Please look through each and familiarize yourself with the information available so you will be able to refer to the appropriate help section if needed. The documents provide information covering basic troubleshooting and setup, cleaning and care, locations for drive through download, and several with information should you need additional help from our IT staff. Some of the information provided may change or update as we move forward so please continue to monitor your email for further information when it becomes available. These documents will also be made available on our website.
Please remember, we are in this unprecedented situation together and help is available should the need arise. Please stay in regular contact with your teachers. They can help guide you through any school issue you are having. In addition, our administrative staff are available to help as well. Please contact your local school office if needed.

Students are encouraged to begin checking their emails for news regarding these assignments. If you have trouble receiving these materials, please reach out to your child’s school directly and leave a message with your child’s name and grade.
Juniata County School District elementary school principals are requesting parents of children who will be enrolled in school for the first time this fall to register their children for school by contacting Polly Digon at the district’s administrative office at 146 Weatherby Way, Mifflintown; via email at firstname.lastname@example.org; or by calling 717-436-2111, ext. 5002.
Kindergarten registration is open to any child who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2020. To be eligible for first grade, a child must be six years of age on or before September 1, 2020. If parents do not feel their child is ready for kindergarten, they may elect to wait until the following year to register.
It is important that parents review the immunization status of their child, since children entering school for the first time are required to be immunized as follows: four doses of diphtheria and tetanus vaccine, with one dose administered on or after the child’s fourth birthday; four doses of polio vaccine, with one dose administered on or after the child’s fourth birthday; three doses of hepatitis B; two doses each of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine; and two doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or history of disease.
If all immunizations have not been completed, parents should contact their family doctor or clinic to have them completed. Children may be exempt from immunization requirements for medical, religious or strong philosophical objections.
ALL new student registrations can be completed at our District Office located at 146 Weatherby Way, Mifflintown, PA 17059 with Mrs. Polly Digon.
