Late Friday afternoon, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court affirmed the Commonwealth Court’s decision to vacate the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s masking order. As a result of this decision, masking will become optional for all students, faculty, staff and visitors in all Juniata County School District Buildings. Anyone wishing to wear a mask may continue to do so.
This decision does not change the federal requirement that face coverings be worn on public transportation. With this in mind, masks will continue to be required on all JCSD provided transportation.
